
ZooTampa at Lowry Park will commemorate the United States' 250th birthday with a month-long "Red, White and Zoo" celebration in July. The event will feature special themed animal enrichment activities, patriotic merchandise, festive food and beverages, giveaways and more.
On Stars & Stripes Saturdays and Sundays, guests can enjoy delicious themed food including red, white, and blue dot cakes, all-American BBQ family deals, and specialty drinks like the star-spangled lemonade. Plus, all month long, guests can grab unique patriotic gear at the Zoo’s retail locations.

9:45 a.m. – Bornean Orangutan (Primates)
10 a.m. – 4 p.m. – Lorikeet
10:15 a.m. – African Elephant (Africa)
11:45 a.m. – Hamadryas Baboon (Primates)
1:45 p.m. – North American River Otter (Florida)
2 p.m. – Sulawesi Babirusa (Asia)
2:15 p.m. – Siamang (Primates)
3 p.m. – Macaw in ZooVentures Theatre
In honor of local and national heroes, ZooTampa is also offering complimentary admission to Hillsborough County government employees, City of Tampa team members, Hillsborough County School teachers, and active-duty military personnel through September.
