Pros & Pals Returns: Bigger, Brighter, and Outdoors for the First Time

The Tampa Bay Sun Foundation is bringing the community together once again with its second-ever Pros & Pals event. This time, under the open sky. Held outdoors and presented by Dick’s House of Sport, the expanded event celebrates inclusion, connection, and the power of play.

What makes this event so special isn't just the sunshine or the fresh air, it's the way the community shows up for athletes of all abilities. Tampa Bay Sun FC players will swap cleats for high-fives, guiding young athletes through a day filled with laughter, teamwork, and pure joy. No scoreboards. No pressure. Just soccer for youth with developmental and/or physical disabilities in its most meaningful form.

“Pros & Pals is the definition of a community effort,” said Rachel Jolley, Program & Marketing Director of the Tampa Bay Sun Foundation. “Seeing families, partners, and pros share the field in such an authentic way reminds us what can happen when we move with purpose, together.”

Community collaborators like the I Am More Foundation, TOPSoccer, and CARD at USF will return with thoughtful activities, adaptive tools, and sensory-friendly options that ensure every athlete feels comfortable and included.

With the event being outdoors, the Foundation team will add new elements- like open-field drills, obstacle stations, and neutral hangout zones- that let participants roam, explore, and enjoy the game at their own pace.

Pros & Pals continues to represent the Tampa Bay Sun Foundation’s mission: using soccer to uplift every corner of the community through growth, connection, and access. And thanks to the incredible energy of this upcoming outdoor edition, the momentum isn’t slowing down!
