Calling all dancers, collaborators, and dance enthusiasts in the Tampa Bay area! We need you to be a part of this movement to bring the visibility of dance to its highest height in the Tampa Bay area. DANCE RISING TAMPA BAY! This is an opportunity to view the first, in a series of four, dance film compilations created from videos collected from an open call to Tampa Bay artists. This project aims to increase awareness and appreciation of the dance arts, encourage the creation of dance films, and expand the visibility of dance in our county. It also aims to inspire and unite our community through the power of dance.
Dance Rising Tampa Bay will provide greater access to dance for our area by including free and open calls to artists sent to our eclectic dance community. Your support is crucial. Free film presentations will be shown in multiple accessible locations. The films will be presented at various sites (information kiosks downtown, Tampa Theatre, HCC, USF, and more) throughout the county and will be available online.
Dance Tampa Bay is a community network that advocates for dance artists, students, and collaborators in all parts of the industry. Our mission is to create productive partnerships with organizations, share resources with individuals, enhance visibility for the art of dance, and increase support for dance opportunities in Hillsborough County. We seek to increase community involvement through traditional and innovative initiatives.
