Storytime in the Park with Blake Carey

Join us for our Storytime in the Park series with local Tampa authors, presented by FIT4MOM Tampa! Storytime in the Park will take place on the last Friday of each month, we feature a storytime with local children's author and a hands-on activity to follow. Please RSVP so we have a head count for craft supplies!
September's Storytime will be lead by local Author Blake Carey reading her book "My Mom's Got No Qualms", a book about spending fun, quality time with mom!

Hi! I'm Blake.
After years of reading books to my little ones about how fun dads are I was ready to find one about moms. As I searched I realized I couldn't find any books of child and mother just as playing and enjoying life together so I wrote and published it myself!
Originally from NY I moved to Seattle in 2014 for work. In 2022 we made the leap back to the east coast and were eager to plant roots in Tampa. We absolutely love the community that has come with South Tampa and enjoy continuing to explore the area. I have 2 little boys Nolan (4) and Callan (2) and my husband Brian.
I am passionate about changing the narrative of mom being the default parent where play always comes with boundaries. I want our next generation to view our moms as fun, adventurous, and brave as they navigate motherhood!
