Public Sea Turtle Release at Coquina Beach Anna Maria Island

Join the Sea Turtle Conservancy along with our partners, Anna Maria Island Turtle Watch and Hurricane Hanks, as we release a satellite tagged adult loggerhead turtle as part of our annual Tour de Turtles event! We plan to release the turtle around 8:30 am EST but encourage you to show up early to get an up-close look and ask the turtle team any questions. This event is free and open to the public, no need to sign up.

**The release will take place on Anna Maria Island. The exact location will be announced the morning of the release. In previous years, we've released on Coquina Beach near a numbered life guard stand. Due to the availability of a nesting turtle, potential back-up date for this release is June 24. Make sure to watch this space for updates!**
