Pete Alonso's Battle for the Bay at Plant High School

On Sunday, January 21st, Major League Baseball All-Star and New York Mets First Baseman, Pete Alonso, who grew up and resides in Tampa, will bring his Battle For The Bay back to Plant High School.
Following a successful inaugural event, the 2024 Battle For The Bay supporting The Alonso Foundation, will be hosted at Plant High School's baseball field in south Tampa. This year, participants from local little leagues and travel teams will take the field in a new, dynamic team format. Four teams, consisting of baseball and softball hitters across 5 age groups, will compete for the most home runs hit, all while being coached by Pete Alonso and other MLB players!
Join us as Tampa area baseball and softball participants, ages 12-16, compete to see who can hit the most homeruns for their team. The event will feature a family-friendly Fan Fest, complete with food trucks, interactive games and activities.
