FLIP IT® is a strategy that offers a simple, kind, and commonsense process to address children’s challenging behavior. The four steps of FLIP IT can be easily remembered using the mnemonic of FLIP, which stands for F – Feelings, L – Limits, I – Inquiries and P – Prompts. FLIP IT is nothing new, but turns what works into a strategy that is easy to remember and easy to use in real-life challenging situations.
