Monthly STEAM enrichment for preschoolers
It’s never too early to engage your curious preschoolers in science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics (STEAM). Feel free to join your young scientist as they make predictions, test for results, and share their findings. Each class has an engaging science theme from dinosaurs to sound waves with developmentally appropriate activities designed to encourage exploration and nuture curiousity.
9/13 - Super Friends - Become a superhero and choose a super name, make a costume and use superpowers like freezing, web slinging or flying.
10/11 - Puddle Jumping - Learn about the weather by making blowing wind and falling rain. Touch a cloud and go puddle jumping! Wear clothes that can get wet!
11/15 - Float Your Boat - Discover what things float on water and in the air. Toss feathery foam, fly a helium balloon and layer colorful liquids.
12/13 - Dinosaur Dancing - Thundering steps, chomping teeth and swishing tails! How did dinosaurs swim, fly and sing?
1/10 - 3, 2, 1 Blast Off - t takes a spirit of adventure to get to outer space. Design your rocket and learn how to make it fly far away!
2/14 - Mini Einsteins - Experiment with static electricity. Create your own dazzling light show with a kaleidoscope. Can you complete a circuit?
3/6 - Music Makers - Make silly sounds and groovy beats as you learn about sound waves and instruments.
4/10 - Hungry Caterpillars - Crawl like a caterpillar and munch on greens. Then drink like a butterfly and explore the butterfly garden.
5/8 - Bubble Trouble - Experiment with different potions and bubble formulas. Step inside a giant bubble and compete in a bubble-blowing contest.
