Getting to Know HCPS Power Hour Series: Early Childhood Presentation
In this session, you will learn how HCPS’ Early Childhood department provides services to meet the needs of young learners and the vast array of programs and resources available to them. Here are some topics we will be discussing in this session:
Early Childhood (Introduction of Dr. Emily Cimino as the new Director, ages of the students served, where/who are the leaders in the organization)
Head Start (qualifications, numbers, services, goal)
PEPPS (Child Find/FDLRS, qualifications, continuum of services, CPEEPs model, goal)
VPK (qualifications, numbers, services, goal)
Commonalities in all the programs (Curriculum, Assessments, Collaboration)
Kindergarten (goal of Pre-K is to have 80% of students ready for KG, Pre-K supports success in KG)
