Watermelon Swim

Watermelon Swim is a year-round swim school that strives to build happy, skilled, and safer swimmers while building-self esteem and creating of love of the water. We have 4 locations in the Tampa Bay area – Lutz, Riverview, South Tampa, and Wesley Chapel/New Tampa. All our pools are indoor and heated so we swim rain or shine all year (note: our South Tampa location does close for lightning but not rain).

For over 40 years we have been teaching classes for babies through adult with an effective combination of water safety, survival, and swim skills. Our program is a continuous progression of skills and each level builds upon the previous level. Our classes are perfect for those looking for safety, fun and/or stroke development in a group setting (4:1) or a private lesson (1:1)

- Parent-Tot (6 months to 2 years)
- Level 1 through 9 (2 years+)
- Swim Team Prep
- Adult classes

We teach children and adults with both physical and mental disabilities the swimming, safety and survival skills they need to develop a love of the water. We get to know each swimmer’s unique learning style to determine if group or private classes are the best fit. And we know encouraging and challenging our students appropriately is key to their success, so we work with each student (and parents or guardians if applicable) to set attainable goals and achieve extraordinary results.

Every member of Team Melon is extensively trained, enthusiastic and child-approved! Watermelon Swim is proud to employ the best swim coaches and customer service team in the Tampa Bay area.
Our coaches are certified in CPR, First Aid, Water Safety Instructor, and Lifeguard Training. Each member of Team Melon participates in continuing education trainings to stay current with the latest teaching trends and techniques.
