Sew South Tampa is a sewing studio specializing in children's sewing classes, summer camps and workshops for both adults and children.
In 2014 founder Lori Green conceived the idea of bringing the age-old art of sewing back to the Tampa Bay Area. With a small rented room and four sewing machines, she began teaching a small group of children how to sew simple articles of clothing and accessories. By the end of the year she had grown to 30 students and with the help of her daughter Rachel, they hosted their inaugural student fashion show
Now the mom and daughter duo teach close to 100 students year round between school year classes, summer camps, holiday workshops, and adult workshops.
Sew South Tampa's mission is to incorporate the art of sewing, while teaching timeless life lessons such as: patience, perseverance, and self discovery of creativity.
