At Little Giant Pediatrics, our mission is to provide compassionate, high-quality medical day care for medically fragile children in Tampa and surrounding communities. We have a bilingual speaking staff dedicated to supporting families by offering a safe, nurturing environment where children receive personalized nursing care, developmental support, and therapeutic services—empowering them to thrive while giving parents peace of mind.

PPEC (Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care) is a Medicaid-covered program offering skilled nursing and therapeutic services in a day care setting for children under 21 years of age with complex medical needs, no cost to the parents.

Every child's situation is unique. Some common conditions that may qualify include:

• Chronic respiratory issues requiring apnea monitoring, oxygen administration, tracheostomy care or ventilator support

• Feeding difficulties requiring nutritional management, formula administration, or tube feedings

• Seizure or cardiac disorders requiring monitoring

• Post-surgical care needs

• Genetic disorders with medical complications

• Prematurity with ongoing medical needs

• Medication administration
