Lesley "Les" Miller Jr. All People's Community Park & Life Center opened in 2007 and is known as one of our showcase facilities. Home base for the Adaptive program, this facility was designed to serve people of all ages and abilities, but specializes in serving people with disabilities. This building focuses on eliminating barriers to participation for people with disabilities.
This is home to Hillsborough County's largest adaptive playground. The 10,000-square-foot, ADA-compliant playground has an adventure theme and includes numerous play units designed to encourage children to stay active and have fun. In addition to traditional elements like swings and slides, the playground features rope- and rock-climbing structures, musical elements, and synthetic turf.
Miller Community Park & Life Center is also the home for HC Adaptive Sports, which provides year round sports and recreation programs that promote physical activity, healthy lifestyles, and recreational and competitive sports opportunities for area children and adults with physical disabilities.
In addition, Miller's Park serves as a Camp Sparks location, has the only County run Special Olympics teams, and is the main administrative office for the Adaptive Recreation program.
