Before & After School Enrichment (BASE) Program:
Your day doesn’t always end when the kids are done with the school day. That’s why the Y offers afterschool programs that serve thousands of children in Hillsborough County. YMCA Before & After School focuses on nurturing a child’s development by providing a safe and healthy place to learn foundational skills. Kids will develop healthy, trusting relationships and build self-reliance through the Y values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. The Before & After School program is available for children in grades K-5 (kindergartener must be at least 5 years old).
YMCA Program for Home Education Students:
The YMCA Homeschool Program is an educational program with exciting curriculum options where kids can make new friends while being active through socialization, physical education and learning activities. Children ages 6 to 12 are welcome to participate.
This is a semester-long session that follows the Hillsborough County School District calendar. The Fall semester begins in August. Each semester includes two, 2-hour sessions per week, excluding holiday breaks.
Sessions will include at least one hour of physical education (PE). For the remainder of each session, children will engage in educational activities such as STEM, art, performance, design and more.
Early Head Start Program:
The Tampa Y EHS is a delegate agency of the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners Head Start/Early Head Start program. Our goal is to partner with family child care homes throughout specific zip codes in Hillsborough County, and provide full-day, year-round comprehensive services to children and their families, from birth to three years old.
Stay & Play:
Stay & Play is child care for kids ages 6 weeks to 6 years old. At our family centers and select wellness centers, Y staff members engage and supervise children in a Montessori-style environment while you work out.
We also offer monthly Parent's Night Out at some of our locations in the Tampa area. Please visit our website for more information.
