Hallie's Studio Flute Camp

Ready to start your kids' musical journey? Try this Flute Summer Camp for young beginners, utilizing the world renowned Suzuki approach to music education, suitable for mixed classes of children from ages 3-10. Drop-off available for children ages 8+.

Hosted and designed by professional flutist and teacher, Hallie Chandola. This camp is tons of fun while learning and playing beautiful music, from bubble blowing, to spitting rice, to playing Hot Cross Buns! Students take home to keep their award-winning introductory NUVO Toot flutes and supplies to continue playing after graduation.

Students learn the following:
Day 1: Instrument care, value of listening, ear training, breathing techniques, balance and coordination in resting and playing positions, how to form a basic embouchure, and articulation.
Day 2: Finger names and placement on keys, flute balance, how a beautiful tone is created, ear training, and basic note reading.
Day 3: Note reading rhythms, relationships between notes, step vs. skip ear training
Day 4: Learn first three notes: B, A, G and play with notation
Day 5: Play basic songs by ear and with sheet music

Fees include all supplies, including the flute!
