Jackson Tutoring Summer Bridge Program
Join our 9-week summer experience designed to boost confidence and build essential reading skills in a joyful, supportive environment.
Our Early Reading & Phonics Group is part of Jackson Tutoring Services’ Summer Bridge Program 2025, created for young learners who need focused, engaging instruction to bridge the gap between school years.
This group is ideal for:
-Advanced PreK students preparing for Kindergarten
-Rising 1st and 2nd graders who need to solidify early literacy skills
*This program is NOT for 1st-2nd graders who are on grade level. It is an intervention for struggling readers OR preparation for students entering Kindergarten*
Students will build confidence and fluency in these key areas:
-Letter names and sounds
-Phonological awareness (blending, rhyming, segmenting)
-Sight word recognition
-Writing simple sentences
-Early reading comprehension
-Foundational phonics skills
Program Dates: June 9 – August 5
Meeting Days: Mondays and Tuesdays
Total Sessions: 18
Location: Online via Zoom
