Gulf Coast - Robert J. Strickland Memorial Park

This community park consists of 6 acres located on the beautiful Gulf of Mexico. The beach frontage is about 1,900' and the swimming area is 200'. The south Hudson beach frontage is 290' with fishing access. You can watch the most gorgeous sunsets right from the beach, boardwalk, lawn swings, or the observation area above the pavilion. The parking gets very overcrowded because so many people come out to relax and enjoy the view or grab a bite to eat at Sam's On the Beach or Inn on the Gulf Restaurants, which are both located right on the property.

This is a great place to bask in the sun, take a swim, cast a line and do some fishing, or launch your boat and set sail for a day on the Gulf. Keep your eyes open for the dolphins, fish, crabs and sea turtles passing by.

Plan a family picnic, birthday party or even plan a wedding right on the beach. There are picnic tables and charcoal grills for the public to use as well as water fountains, pedestal shower, benches, two large swings and of course a playground for the young children to enjoy.
