 ng their reading skills.<br /><br />Our Paws for Literacy Program at the HS
 TB Hillsborough campus pairs children with homeless pets who love to hear t
 he stories and look at the pictures.<br /><br />Paws for Literacy is a free
  program offered for children ages 5 and up. We provide reading stools, boo
 ks and treats (for the animals), but children are welcome to bring their ow
 n books if they wish. Books provided include animal tales, stories of the a
 nimal-human bond and books that teach empathy to young readers.<br /><br />
 Parents should accompany children for this program.
