 ndary story.\n\nKitri, the fiery daughter of an innkeeper who wishes for he
 r to marry a French nobleman has fallen for the town’s penniless barber Bas
 ilio. Her father refuses to grant his blessing although the couple try as h
 ard as they might for approval. Don Quixote himself arrives declaring that 
 Kitri is the spitting image of Dulcinea, his divine romantic heroine whom h
 e is on a conquest across the land to find. Going against her father’s wish
 es, and only after the toreros arrive with Espada and street dancer Mercede
 s who are joyfully welcomed after returning from a bull fight, Kitri and Ba
 silio flee the town square for a new life on their own.\n\nAlong their way 
 they discover various colorful characters traveling within the depths of th
 e Spanish countryside. We even get to witness Don Quixote’s beautiful visio
 n filled with cupids and dryads who gracefully perform for him, luring him 
 into deeper delusion. Kitri and Basilio reunite and reconcile with their fa
 milies in the village where they are greeted with applause and celebration.
  Upon the insistence of the village the ballet then reaches its climactic p
 eak with the Grand Pas de Deux of Kitri and Basilio’s wedding. Join IBF in
