 hy Najimy) are unwittingly conjured up for a Halloween night in present-day
  Salem. It’s been said that there are good witches and bad witches and, whi
 le they can spice up a party with their outlandish get-ups and Three-Stooge
 s-like antics, these are not good witches. Their lifeblood is young childre
 n, and they’ve got one night to satisfy their hunger or, come sunrise, turn
  to dust.\n\nHocus Pocus had a decent enough first release but, like so man
 y holiday favorites, really found new life on television and home video in 
 the years after its initial run. There’s always room for a fun-loving, frie
 ndly Halloween movie in people’s lives, and Hocus Pocus continues to be as 
 warm and welcoming as ever, more than 30 years later. Most of that is down 
 to the perfect casting and joyous performances of the trio of witches, the 
 nominal antagonists but real stars of the movie.\n\nHocus Pocus is rated PG
  for scary images, some language.
