Warriors Basketball Training

Warriors Basketball is a year-round program that offers powerful instruction aligned with national and international standards for teaching youth basketball.

Our coaches use the latest research for instruction from the Positive Coaching Alliance, the Four Pillars of Wellbeing, and the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence.

In our basketball program, boys and girls enjoy year-round opportunities that include skill development training, mini-basketball leagues, summer camps and more.

The goal in our programs is mastery. For students to get better, Warrior Basketball coaches create a fun environment where participants are stretched and refine their skills by increasing their level of focus and effort. Our coaches understand that mistakes are part of learning, so we encourage our students to embrace the challenges and develop a mistake ritual which helps them to move to the next action. Striving to be mastery winners in basketball creates the model of being winners in life!

Ultimate Warriors Volleyball

The Ultimate Warriors Volleyball Academy is a year-round program that offers everything from a basic foundation of volleyball to specialization training in all positions.  

Players enjoy opportunities to become better athletes using international training techniques for youth volleyball as well as Division I coaching philosophies.  Those opportunities include skills clinics, summer camps, group private lessons and fun competition days.  
 
The goal of the academy is mastery.  Ultimate Warrior Volleyball coaches create a fun learning environment where students are challenged both physically and mentally.  We understand that a solid foundation is crucial for development and eventual mastery.  We strive to produce top-performing athletes who are self confident and competitive both on and off the court.  

Ultimate Warriors Volleyball Director Maggie Smith brings nearly 20 years of experience of coaching and playing to the Community School for Sports. A Chicago suburb native, Maggie was a three-year varsity player at Stevenson High School and to this day remains the winningest player in the past 20 years with a record of 98-19 during her three years on varsity. Maggie was named all-conference as a senior, all-conference honorable mention as a junior and selected as MVP at multiple tournaments during her high school career. 
 
After high school, Maggie was offered a full-scholarship to play at Division 1 North Carolina State University in the ACC as a middle blocker. She was a four-year starter for NC State. Maggie can be found in NC State's record books 3 times: fourth for Career Blocks at 415, fifth for Career hitting percentage at .296, and second for total blocks in a single season at 164. That blocking total landed her in the Top 20 in the entire country in 2011.

Soccer

The Community School for Sports has partnered with the FC Tampa Rangers! On Saturday mornings at Corbett Prep, students ages 3-7 will learn soccer skills through games and age-appropriate, fun activities. A Pre-Academy Players Program helps students ages 8-10 gain more complex skills and positional understanding.

FC Tampa Rangers coaches are highly trained and know how to engage students and maintain their enthusiasm in sports.

Seasonal programs

CSS is pleased to offer sports training and archery this spring.

• VAST Sports Performance emphasizes running mechanics, linear speed, agility, explosiveness and flexibility training. Athletes will be ready to enjoy sports and help their teams succeed. Sessions are available for kindergarten through second grade as well as third through eighth grade.

• Archery teaches students in grades three through eight proper archery range safety and techniques in this class based on a popular CAMP IDS summer camp.
