Therapeutic Art After School

We will soon be offering after school programs. Students who sign up must attend the location being offered. Our meetings will combine specific, hands-on art projects with therapeutic techniques that include meditation, yoga/stretching, journaling, and goal setting. All supplies included! What is Therapeutic Art?

Therapeutic Art is a powerful tool in helping people express themselves in ways other than words. It can help reduce anxiety by promoting a relaxing state, give an outlet for emotional expression, and help to boost self-awareness and self image. It can also provide focus and hope for the future.

Therapeutic Art combines specific, hands-on art projects with therapeutic techniques that include meditation, yoga/stretching, journaling, manifestation, and goal setting at a price point that is much more feasible than traditional therapy, while at the same time having fun and creating memories that will resonate for a long time to come!


Hello! my name is Kayla Carreira. I am a certified Art Teacher and Therapeutic Art Coach.

My goal with starting  therapeutic art workshops is to offer the healing benefits of art while engaging people in a creative community, and creating a fun and safe atmosphere for them to be themselves. Under the surface, many people struggle with adjustment issues, socializing, loss, and fear. As an educator with a background in psychology and art, I feel compelled to provide people with an outlet to express themselves and process their emotions in a healthy way. I am looking forward to creating with you!
