
Camp Bayou is open for recreational pursuits such as wildlife watching and nature photography. This is a nature education center with classrooms displays, hiking, butterfly habitat, canoeing and kayaking and a fossil museum they also have quite a few trails to learn about nature on the west coast of Florida. The canoe launch, visitor’s center, nature center, trails, butterfly habitat and Uzita native camp are open for you to visit. Please follow social distancing protocols to ensure the safety of all.
YOUTH PROGRAMS
– Program runs from 10am-11:30am for less than 30 children; 10am-noon for 30-80 children (these must be ‘Rotation Stations’- group rotate through 3-4 nature topics). Groups larger than 80 should schedule a second day to accommodate all children.
– Field trips are only scheduled on Thursdays through Saturdays, only one group per day.
