Welcome to the Camp Mary Help…where Faith and Fun come together!

Each summer, Camp Mary Help introduces children and teens to the timeless traditions of faith and fun! Kids enjoy days filled with various water activities, exploring nature, playing sports, cooking, and much more! The backdrop for Camp Mary Help is the 140-acre campus of Mary Help of Christians Center, which is also home to a retreat center, Parish, Mary’s Little Farm, and Cristo Rey Tampa Salesian High School, all of which serve the Tampa Bay community. The foundation of Camp Mary Help is Faith Formation, which comes alive through daily Mass and faith activities.

Camp Mary Help is open for seven weeks and is designed for children ages 5 to 15. Younger campers can enjoy Camp Grigio, the namesake of Don Bosco’s dog who appeared at his side when he was in trouble, with activities geared for children 5 to 6. This camp is an exciting mix of cultures and backgrounds that set the stage for a summer filled with programs that build teamwork, trust, and understanding.

Time:

    • Camp activities are from 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
    • Drop-off starts at 7:30 am and pick-up ends at 4:30 pm
    • Late drop-offs after 8:10 am require parents to park their car and walk their child to the Camp Office for sign-in.
    • Early pick-up ends at 3:00 pm. No early checkouts can take place between 3:00 pm-4:00 pm.
    • All parents are welcome to join Camp for daily Mass in the Main Church!

  • Week 1 June 10-14
  • Week 2 June 17-21
  • Week 3 June 24-28
  • Week 4 July 1-5*
    4-day Camp: All activities minus the Barn!
  • Week 5 July 8-12**
  • Week 6 July 15-19
  • Week 7 July 22-26
* Closed on July 4th
** No barn activities

Spending your summer at Camp Mary Help is an excellent opportunity to develop leadership skills and give back to your community. Days are spent on our beautiful campus enjoying the Florida sun and fun with a special time for faith formation. Qualifications

  • Group Leader Counselor: Must be a high school graduate
  • Activity Leader: 16 and older
  • Likes playing and interacting with kids
  • Desires to serve the needs of young people
  • Enjoys the outdoor activities and games
  • Desires to share faith in casual settings
  • Has a love of Jesus Christ

Roles

  • Camp counselors
  • Group Leader
  • Activity Leader (archery, fishing, basketball, soccer, tennis, etc.)
  • Kitchen assistance/maintenance
  • Lifeguard(s)
  • Arts & Crafts
  • Faith time instructor /CCD teacher
  • Kinder-camp counselor (working with our youngest campers)
